Dear Students and Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to West Elementary School.  I am thrilled to have you as a student and I look forward to an exciting school year.  Our goal at West Elementary is to provide a safe and positive environment for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in the Lamar R-1 School District.  Policies and procedures are an important part of any school to prepare you for the next level of your education.

The staff at West Elementary joins me in encouraging parental involvement in every aspect of your child’s life, especially their education.  Our partnership through this process will allow your child(ren) the most benefit this year.  Every year is important for our students and will
build toward an educational experience that will serve them well today, tomorrow, and for years
to come.

As principal of West Elementary School, I challenge each and every student to always put forth your best effort and strive for excellence in every aspect of your educational experience.  Don’t hesitate to let me know if I can help you in any way.  It’s awesome to be a Lamar Tiger!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Mary Clark, Principal
