Welcome to Lamar R-1 Schools!  The sign that stood in front of the early school still remains true today: “Lamar Public Schools, Better Schools Build Better Communities.”  Although Lamar R-1 Schools have embraced, adapted, and integrated the latest technologies and pedagogical skills, our ultimate goal is to continue educating students in better schools to continually build better communities.  The mission of Lamar R-1 Schools is to provide a quality education for ALL students that will impact their lives with meaningful purpose and successful direction. From our preschool to our high school, OUR students continue to be the #1 priority!  Whether it is academics, extracurricular, or athletics, our talented students and dedicated staff work together so that all may be successful. It is our goal to build positive relationships with each of our students so that they will learn and grow successfully into whatever path they choose.
