Kindergarten Immunization Information

Kindergarten students must be current & provide documentation on all required immunizations before they are permitted to attend classes (including Summer School).

You may choose to take your child to his/her healthcare provider or the Barton County Health Department. The BCHD is asking for everyone to make an appointment prior.  BCHD staff cannot guarantee an appointment if students wait until the last minute.  So, I strongly suggest for you to make an appointment for the immunization this Spring. Their # is 417-682-3363.
Once your child receives the immunizations, you may send the documentation to East Primary, C/O Nina White, LPN or Diana Ball, RN, 1600 E 12th St, Lamar, MO or email it to [email protected].

Dear East Primary community,

I am looking forward to this school year at East Primary, which is my sixth year as principal at our school. I welcome all who are new to our school and welcome back all who are returning. I am excited to get to know you or to continue to get to know you better. The coming school year will provide important opportunities for the academic and social development of our students.

We have a wonderful school community. Our caring staff members work hard to help all students learn and want what is best for them. Our students are eager to learn and we strive to help them follow our Tiger Expectations to be safe, be respectful, be responsible, and ready to learn. Many parents and other community members contribute to our school. Our partnership with the families of our students as well as other community members and organizations is a key part of our success. Students benefit as parents and guardians are involved in their formal education. We should have consistent communication between home and school for families to learn about what is happening at school and provide feedback to help us improve. Please be involved. Like all schools, we have opportunities for improvement, and we aspire to unite with you in our efforts.

I sincerely care about all children and their families, which motivates me to try my best to provide a quality experience for each student every day. Ensuring a safe, positive learning environment is a top priority for me. Please feel free to contact me with questions, comments, or concerns. I am here to help. Thank you for supporting our school.

Sincerely,

Zach Lemert
